WHAT KIND OF FLOORING DOES THE FACILITY HAVE?
Having the proper flooring will prevent injury and joint pain that could become a problem later on. When your child is in the beginning stages of a dance program, until they gain the strength and technique, they will obviously be taking a spill now and then. All beginning students land their jumps hard. They haven't learned how to descend gently to the heel from the ball of the foot. DeGrasse Dance Studio has state-of-the-art, spring-loaded flooring in all three dance rooms, with the best in dance vinyl on top.

Certainly the obvious should be to teach the art of dance to your child. DeGrasse Dance Studio is much more than that. We want your child to learn how to work with others in a creative environment, gain confidence and self-discipline, as well as stay motivated year after year to progress to their full potential. Students learn that dancing is extremely demanding, but one of the best sources of exercise they can get. We also encourage and teach proper nutrition. We are not just about putting your child on stage in a pretty costume, or winning a trophy at a competition. Learning how to deal with tasks and problems that are relative to those they will be faced with as young adults is our ultimate goal!
